Back of the Moon is one of Scotland's finest Trad bands. 2005 saw them win 'Best Folk Band' at the Scottish Trad Music Awards, while their brilliant new album 'Luminosity' was nominated for 'Best Album'. The band formed in 2000. Back of the Moon create a giant acoustic sound through their tightly-woven frontline of Scottish border pipes and fiddle, the intimate pairing of low whistle and flute, with the distinctive rhythmic force of their guitar/piano rhythm section.
